History
According to the Soviet Siberian Encyclopedia, the village of Bogorodskoye was founded in 1626. According to legend, an icon of the Virgin of Hodegetria was found on the banks of the Ob River, where the village is located. At the site of the find, a church was erected around which the village subsequently grew. Until 1861, Bogorodskoye was one of the ten largest villages in the Tomsk District (county) . Since the beginning of the XVIII century, the village is the administrative center of the Bogorodsky volost , a large shopping center. In 1925, the village became the center of the Bogorodsky district , but in December of the same year, the district center was transferred to the village of Babarykino . In January 1936 it became the center of the newly formed Shegarsky district. And in September 1937 it received a new name - Shegarskoe. In connection with the frequent flooding of the village of Ob, it was decided to transfer the district center to a higher place in the new village of Shegarka (now part of the village of Melnikovo ), and the name Old Stary Shegarka was assigned to the old village. Residents of Old Shegarka began to move to New, and over time, once a large village fell into disrepair.
