Geography

The village is located 5 km south of the center of the city district - the city of Yoshkar-Ola . It is located mainly on the left bank of the Nolka River, from which the village took its name, not far from its confluence with the Malaya Kokshaga River .

It is the southernmost point of the city district.

History

Since 1936, a plot of land with an area of 16 hectares of state land, which was located in the administrative boundaries of the Medvedevsky district, was assigned to the Yoshkar-Ola city executive committee.

In the early 1950s, the Dorozhnik enterprise for the construction and repair of roads was located in this area. For housing workers were built wooden one-story barracks. Not far from the village, road builders built a bridge across the Nolka River.

In 1951 the first private house was built in the village.

In 1952 - 1953 , a military unit located in this area and built barrack-type houses for the workers. In subsequent years, housing construction expanded, increasing the civilian population. In 1963, the newly formed village Nolka was included in the line of the urban district.

In 1969, when clarifying the boundaries between the urban district and the Medvedevsky district, a plot of state reserve of 16 hectares was transferred to the city borders, and the village of Nolka itself was left under administrative subordination of the Bolshechigashevsky village council of the Medvedevsky district. At that time, 125 families lived in the village with a total of 404 inhabitants. The predominant nationality were Russians.

In the 1970s , several private and multi-family houses were built in the village, the main road was asphalted, and a bus service appeared to the city of Yoshkar-Ola.

In 1972, the settlement of Nolka was transferred to the administrative subordination of the Yoshkar-Ola city council by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the MASSR , and in 1973 it became part of the newly formed Suburban Rural Council. On January 3, 1974, in connection with the formation of districts in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, the Prigorodnyi village council was abolished, and the settlement of Nolka was transferred to the administrative subordination of the Zavodskoy district of Yoshkar-Ola. In December 1980, the village of Nolka became part of the Sidorovsky Village Council, which was transferred by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Mari ASSR from the Medvedevsky District to the Zavodskoy District of Yoshkar-Ola.

In 1996, a gas pipeline was built, and in 1997, telephones appeared in the residents' homes. In 1999, the village stretched water supply.

Since 1992, the village was part of the Sidorovskaya rural administration of Yoshkar-Ola, which in 2001 was reorganized into the Sidorov territorial administration of the administration of Yoshkar-Ola. In 1999, at the session of the State Assembly of the Republic of Mari El, at the initiative of the Sidorovskaya village administration, the question was brought about the transfer of the administrative center from the village of Sidorovo to the village of Nolka. The need for this transfer arose in connection with the emergency and dilapidated state of the administration building in Sidorov and the completion of the renovation of the new building in the village of Nolka, the presence of a new telephone station in the new building. Also in favor of this decision is the fact that the main enterprises of the Sidorovskaya village administration, the presence of a bus service and a larger number of residents are located in the village. On the basis of the decision of the State Assembly of the Republic of Mari El on September 16, 1999, the administrative center of the Sidorovsky village council was transferred to the settlement of Nolka, retaining the same name. In fact, the village council has been located in Nolk since 1995 .

According to the credentials of the Sidorov Administration of the Administration of the City of Yoshkar-Ola for 2002, 552 people live in the village of Nolka, the predominant nationality is Russian.

On July 5, 2005, the Sidorovskoye rural settlement was transferred to the administration of the Medvedevsky district , and the settlement of Nolka remained subordinated to the administration of the city district [3] . Despite this, the administration of the Sidorovsky rural settlement also remained in the village [2] .
