Metropolitan Nikifor ( Greek: Μητροπολίτης Νικηφόρος in the world Nicolaos Glycas of the Greek Metropolitan of Mithminia (1881-1896).

Biography
Born in 1819 in the village of Glyki in the north of Imvros Island.
From 1841 to 1845 he studied at a commercial school on the island of Halki, where he was noticed by Prof. Ioannis Taxis (Ιωάννης Τάξης) and invited to the Halka Theological School , which he graduated with honors in 1849.
In 1850, he was ordained to the rank of hierodeacon by Metropolitan Sophia Paisiy of Sofia, and in 1853 by the Patriarch of Constantinople Anfim VI to the rank of hieromonk with the erection of Archimandrite .
In the same year, he was invited by the Patriarch of Alexandria, Hierotheos Sifniot, to head the Patriarchal School in Cairo, and also to be engaged in the restoration of the Patriarch’s library.
In 1856 he headed the Athos school (Αθωνιάδος Σχολής) [1] , and later during the year he studied at the University of Athens , a year in Paris and about two years in Strasbourg .
From 1865 to 1866 he was the dean of the Khalki Theological School, and later taught dogmatic, pastoral and moral theology, as well as chronology until 1872.
On May 2, 1873, he was elected Metropolitan of Imvria and Tenedi .
March 23, 1881, was elected Metropolitan of Myth .
He died in February 1896 in Kalloni on the island of Lesbos.
