Dicarbonyl ruthenium dichloride forms lemon yellow, easily sublime crystals.

Not soluble in water.

Chemical Properties

  • Upon reaction with nitric acid, it releases carbon monoxide and forms Ru (NO) Cl 2 .
  • Restores ammonia silver solution.
