It comes from Scotland , from where Mikhail Manzey arrived in Russia in 1733 with Prince Anton-Ulrich of Braunschweig and was the gof surgeon of Emperor John Antonovich (1740). His son Login was the director of the Vyshnevolotsk water communication (1795–98).
Loggin’s grandson, Konstantin Nikolaevich (1821-1905), was an adjutant general, cavalry general and commander of the Guards Corps .
The clan Manzey is included in the second part of the genealogy book of the Tver province .
