History

Zeichhaus

The idea of producing a specialized publication (originally intended to be an almanac ) was born in 1989. At the origins of the magazine were Vladimir Perederiy , Alexei Stepanov , Roberto Palacios-Fernandez, Alexey Vasiliev and Peter Kosmolinsky. [1] However, the real possibility of publishing the magazine appeared only after the adoption on June 12, 1990 of the USSR Law No. 1552-1 "On the Press and Other Mass Media", which allows registering media not only to organizations, but also to " citizens of the USSR who have reached the age of eighteen. " .

On October 4, 1990, Alexey Stepanov registered the magazine “Zeikhauz” (certificate of registration of the Ministry of Press and Mass Media of the RSFSR No. 173). The first issue of Zeichhaus was published on September 29, 1991. [2]

“Tseikhgauz” was one of the first to establish ties with the Russian foreign countries - the descendants of the first wave of immigrants, which made it possible to publish a number of rare documents from the archives of the White movement participants.

The members of the editorial board of the magazine at different times were the grandson of General L. G. Kornilov Lavr Chapron du Larre (from 1991 to 1996) and the writer Kir Bulychev (from 1993 to 2003.)

During the period from 1991 to 2008, the publication was replaced by several publishers, 24 issues were published. [3] The volume was 48 color bars.

The scandal surrounding a building in Nizhny Kislovsky Lane

The magazine is published by the Russian Knights Foundation, which rents an office in the building of the former Theater of the Secretaries in Nizhny Kislovsky Lane . In 2013, the fact of illegal redevelopment and misuse of this architectural monument was revealed [12] , in connection with which the public coalition in defense of Moscow demanded the resignation of A. V. Kibovsky , one of the deputy editor-in-chief, from his post as head of the Department of Cultural Heritage the city of Moscow - motivating this by the fact that he is deeply indifferent to the Moscow cultural heritage [13] .

In this regard, the Russian Knights Foundation made a statement stating that there was no connection between the editorial office of the magazine and the underground sauna and other tenants [14] .
