Content
Geography
The village is located in the forest-steppe within the Ishim Plain , belonging to the West Siberian Plain, on the shores of Lake Nikolaev [2] . In the vicinity there are rare aspen-birch pegs. Residual carbonate and solonchak meadow (hydromorphic) chernozems are widespread [3] . The height of the center of the village is 111 meters above sea level [4] .
By road, the distance to the administrative center of the rural settlement of Zvezdino is 10 km, to the district center of Moskalenki is 32 km, to the regional center of Omsk is 120 km, to the nearest city of Isilkul is 38 km [5] . At 4 km south of the village passes the federal highway "Irtysh" P254

History
It was founded in 1752 as the Nikolaev fortress of the New, or Gorky fortified line. In 1761, the Nikolaev fortress was moved to a new, more favorable place. Around the fortress, a village gradually grew [7] . Residents were engaged in cultivation, gardening. Breeding of thoroughbred sheep, cattle of the Ukrainian, Kalmyk and Simmental breed was developed [8] . In Nikolaev there was the headquarters of the 5th regiment of the Siberian Linear Cossack Army [7] .
In 1835 a church was built in the name of the Nativity of Christ. Since 1849, two annual fairs have been held in the village. In the middle of the XIX century in the village there were 5 permanent shops, two forges, 17 flour mills, two saline plants and one brick factory. At the end of the XIX century, there were two schools - male and female [9] . In 1912, the city school was opened, there was a paramedic point [8]

According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, in the gender structure of the population of 81 people, men are 39, women are 42 (48.1 and 51.9%, respectively) [1]

According to the 2002 census , Russians accounted for 81% of the total population of 271 in the national population structure. [12] .
