Biography
Club career
He studied rugby at the College of Submission in the city of Bray . Pupil of the Lansdowne and Greystons clubs [3] . He made his debut in the inter-provincial championship of Ireland as part of the Lenster club, he has been playing in the Celtic League since the 2001/2002 season and won the tournament in the first season. He played until the end of the 2006/2007 season.
With 138 games, Corrigen set a club record for the number of matches played, which, however, was later broken by both Brian O'Driscoll and Gordon D'Arcy .
Team Career
Corrigen played his first game on November 30, 1997 against Canada . He played only 47 games for the national team, speaking at the 1999 and 2003 world championships. Twice Reggie was appointed captain of the team, leading the team in 2003 for matches against Tonga and Samoa . He participated in the Five Nations Cup 1998 and four more Cups of six nations : 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2006 . In 2004, his team won the Triple Crown , beating England , Scotland and Wales . Corrigen played his last game on February 11, 2006 against France . After the 2006 Six Nations Cup, he announced his retirement for the national team [4] .
Coach Career
In 2009, Corrigen signed a contract with Lenster and entered his coaching staff. In 2012, he did not renew his contract with the club and left to work for Munster, but two years later he was dismissed from Munster because he did not officially inform his previous team about the dismissal, which was contrary to Irish laws [5] .
Personal life
Reggie currently works at the College of Performance and is responsible for the students ’healthy diet. Often invited to the sports television channel Setanta Ireland commentator on rugby matches and sports analyst.
Wife - Frida, son - Nathan.
