Freestyle (freestyle) - one of the areas of electronic music, which in the first years of its existence was subject to the strongest influence of Spanish and African-American culture. Freestyle is characterized by a dance rhythm with an emphasis on 2 and 4 bits; sync copying the bass line, the synthesizer in the foreground, cymbals emphasizing the 16th bit and quite complicated to build melodies with vocals and lyrics about love or dancing. The peak of popularity of this style came in 1989.

History
It’s not known where the term “Electro Freestyle” came from. It is believed that it was introduced by Polish musicians in the early 2000s to signify a new direction in electronic music. Electro Freestyle is similar to the classic Freestyle (Latin freestyle) and Electro , however, it is an independent genre.
Features of the genre
Characteristic features of the genre are the often used sample Hit, broken beat, trance melody, vocoder vocals. The tempo of the tracks varies from approximately 115 to 135 bpm.
Representatives
The development of electro-freestyle was greatly influenced by the TechnoLectro genre, as well as one of the founders of the hip hop Afrika Bambaataa , especially his joint track with The Soul Sonic Force “Planet Rock”. The percussion part from this track was subsequently used in many freestyle compositions.
