The monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was erected in Donetsk in 1953, 15 Artyom Street (Voroshilovsky District) and in the courtyard of the multidisciplinary lyceum of secondary school No. 54 (155 Artyom St., Kiev district).

The author of the work is sculptor Sergey Alekseevich Gontar .

The monument is a bust of Zoe Kosmodemyanskoy - the first woman-Hero of the Sevets Union of the Great Patriotic War. On the pedestal is the Golden Star of the Hero of the USSR and the inscription "Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya" (in Ukrainian).

Sergey Alekseevich Gontar - Donetsk sculptor. Its monuments stand in Donetsk, Makeevka, Kramatorsk and other cities of Donbass. His works include a monument to the Monument to G.I. Petrovsky in the same region of Donetsk, a monument to Leonid Bykov in Kramatorsk and others.
