Zhang Hongtao

Zhang Hongtao ( Chinese ex. 张宏涛 , pinyin : Zhāng Hóngtāo , born April 9, 1986 ) is a Chinese gymnast, 2009 world gymnastics champion . He specializes in horse riding exercises. Multiple winner of the stages of the World Cup in gymnastics.

Sports career

At the Chinese national level competitions, Zhang made a great contribution to the Shanghai national gymnastics team. He won a bronze medal at the 10th Games of the Peoples of the People's Republic of China in 2005, which allowed him to qualify for the national team of China in gymnastics. He also won gold at the Chinese Championship in 2007, and silver at the 11th People’s Games of the Peoples of China in 2009, leaving behind multiple world champion Xiao Qin . [one]

Zhang's first international competition was the 2005 World Gymnastics Championships . He qualified with the 3rd result in the final of the horse competitions (9.712) [2] , but in the end he took 6th place with the result of 9.475. [3] In 2009, Zhang became the world champion in gymnastics, winning gold on a horse with a score of 16.200. [4] In 2013, he again passed the selection for the national team for the World Cup , but in the final of the competition he took the 4th place with a result of 15.600.
