Gadis Abdullaevich Gadzhiyev (born August 27, 1953 ) has been a Russian lawyer and statesman, since 1991 a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation . Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Dagestan, Doctor of Law, Professor.

Biography

Gadis Hajiyev was born on August 27, 1953 in the village of Shovkra, Lak District of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in a Lak family [1] . After graduating from the Law Faculty of Moscow State University in 1975 , he worked as a teacher in the department of civil law at Dagestan State University .

In 1979 he defended his thesis.

Since 1979 - legal adviser to the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

1982 - 1990 - Head of the Legal Department of the Council of Ministers of Dagestan. Combined these positions with teaching and research activities.

Since 1990 - People's Deputy of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He held the position of Chairman of the Commission of the Supreme Soviet of DagSSR on Legislation, Law and Order. He participated in the drafting of the Federal Treaty, a number of laws of the Republic of Dagestan. In the Supreme Council of Dagestan was the co-chairman of the faction "Democratic Dagestan". He was chairman of the Union of Lawyers of Dagestan.

On 02/01/1991, an assassination attempt was made on Gadzhiyev, as a result of which he received a penetrating wound with a knife in the lung area. Shortly before the assassination attempt, Gadzhiyev published a critical article about the activities of Said Amirov , who at that time was the head of Dagpotrebsoyuz [2] .

Member of the Presidential Council for the Improvement of Civil Legislation. Member of the Council on Management and Development at the Mayor of Moscow and the Expert Council of the Center for Strategic Development under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Since spring 2009, he has been the Academic Head of the Law Faculty of the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics National University , and since September 2009 the head of the department of civil law and process.

Member of the editorial boards of five scientific journals, including “ Law. Journal of the Higher School of Economics . Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Law and Public Policy. Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Comparative Constitutional Review . "

He was married twice. From the first marriage left three sons. The second spouse - Emerald Mugutdinova. G.A. Gadzhiyev’s mother, Roza Gadzhiyeva, died on December 4, 2010 during an accident at Domodedovo airport . [3]
