History
The decision to establish the library was made in 1924. In 1937 the first stone was laid in the foundation of the new building, and already in 1939 it was completed, but in connection with the war, the grand opening took place only on December 4, 1945. A large role in the long-awaited discovery belonged to the governor of the city, Mustafa Al-Shibani . At that time, library repositories consisted of 6000 copies [1] .
The library building has 2 floors; in addition to the reading room and book depository, it has a small theater hall with 300 seats [2] .
In 2011, the library building was closed for repairs [1] .
