Norwegian-Swedish border, a place where Jews were transported to safe Sweden
The righteous nations of the world in Norway are the Norwegians who saved Jews during the Holocaust , who were awarded the honorary title of “The Righteous of the Nations of the World ” by the Israeli Institute for Catastrophe and Heroism “ Yad Vashem ”.
As of January 1, 2016, such titles were awarded to 62 Norwegians [1] . The selfless activity of the participants of the Norwegian underground to save Jews in 1977 was marked by the Yad Vashem Institute by recognition of the entire movement as the collective righteous of the world [2] .
