Biography
Born on September 13, 1897 in the city of Cherikov of the Russian Empire, now the Mogilev region of Belarus. Russian.
In RIA - since 1916, in the First World War he served as an ensign . In the Red Guard since December 1917, in the Red Army since May 1918. Member of the Civil War in Russia - the company commander, battalion, assistant regiment commander. After the civil war he continued his military service, becoming commander of a rifle regiment.
Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 and the Great Patriotic War. Took part in many military operations.
