Nebula

Nebula was created by screenwriter Roger Stern and artist John Bushema and first appeared in Avengers # 257 (July, 1985).

A fierce space pirate and mercenary, Nebula seized control of the Sanctuary II, a large spaceship that was previously under the command of Thanos . Thanos was considered dead in these parts, and Nebula claimed to be his granddaughter. The team of mercenaries and pirates of Nebula consisted of Skindzhi, Kel, Gunther and Levan.

Nebula asked the second Captain Marvel to join her team and help them conquer the Skrull empire. At this time, the Fiery Lord found out that Nebula had destroyed the Xandarians. Nebula used her space fleet to attack the armada of the Skrull and Avengers space ^[3] .

Nebula then tried to achieve absolute power using the scientist Harker’s atomic compressor from Earth to release a tremendous amount of energy that would be absorbed by the Infinity Union (Although this attempt almost brought about the end of the universe when the experiment caused the second Great Bang, however, the small group of Avengers is Captain America , Thor , Spider-Man and Sercy - were able to avoid destruction and close the equipment in time to prevent the destruction of existence). She fought the Avengers and absorbed energy from the Infinity Union through implantation into her brain. During the battle with the Avengers, she lost her strength when Cersi removed her brain implant. After this, Nebula escaped ^[4] .

Infinity Glove

The recently revived Thanos was offended by a statement about Nebula’s kinship with him. He returned his ship and almost killed her using Infinity Stones . He turned her into a grotesque virtual corpse, still barely alive, leaving her looking like a meaningless zombie, charred and mutilated by its energy rays ^[5] .

Thanos soon boasted that Nebula was his greatest creation since she was unable to die. However, when Thanos defeated Eternity and took its place, he expanded his consciousness into the universe, leaving her body in a coma. Nebula managed to take possession of the Glove that was at Thanos, using her power, she regained her health and banished Thanos, trying to conquer the universe. Thanos agreed to help a group of heroes defeat Nebula. The group consisted of Adam Warlock , Doctor Strange , Silver Surfer, Thor, Hulk , Fire Lord, Doctor Doom and Drax the Destroyer - the only heroes whose location Strange was able to determine for the time available to him. The group fought with her along with Thanos. Eventually, Nebula was captured by Starfox and returned to Titan for trial, while Warlock captured the Glove ^[6] .

Nebula later confronted the Fire Lord in a prison on Titanian. Nebula was later released from prison by Geatar and transformed into a cyborg by Dr. Mandibus ^[7] . She tried to free her pirate crew from Anvil Prison, but the Silver Surfer and the Jack of Hearts intervened. She then killed her team and fled ^[8] .

Annihilation

Nebula appeared as one of Gamora's followers, Graces. She battled Ronan the Prosecutor . Ronan won, severely injuring her.

Nebula is a sporting woman and a well-armed fighter. She has high intelligence and is a brilliant military strategist.

Nebula uses blasters that she wears on her wrists. These blasters shoot with unknown energy, which can almost instantly incinerate a living creature. She also wears a device that allows her to disguise her appearance.

Nebula was transformed by Dr. Mandibus into a cyborg . She was given an artificial left eye, left arm and left shoulder. The upper left quarter of her head and part of her right thigh are sheathed in metal.

For a while, Nebula possessed the Union of Infinity , a combination of three devices that together could channel all forms of surrounding energy into it; it gave her tremendous energy. She also possessed the Infinity Glove for a short time, which held six Infinity Stones, giving the owner virtually unlimited power and complete control over time and space.

Television

• Nebula appeared in two episodes of the 1999 animated series Silver Surfer , voiced by Jennifer Dale.
• In the animated series "Superhero Squad" in 2009, Nebula appears in the second season, where she was voiced by Jane Lynch ^[9] . Here she is the older sister of Thanos.
• Nebula appears in the animated series Guardians of the Galaxy, voiced by Cree Summer ^[10] .

Cinema

• Scottish actress Karen Gillan played the role of Nebula in the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Here she is the adopted daughter of Thanos, along with Gamora. She was turned by her father into a cyborg, because of which she feels a strong hatred towards him. When Ronan the Prosecutor rebels against Thanos, capturing one of the Infinity Stones, Nebula joins him. Ronan intends to destroy Xander, and the Guardians of the Galaxy stand in his way. Nebula fights with Gamora, but loses to her. When Nebula hangs on the edge of the abyss, Gamora offers her his help, which Nebula rejects and flies away on the captured ship.
• In an interview, James Gunn said that he has big plans for Nebula in the 2017 sequel ^[11] . Karen Gillan will play her again.
• In the film “ Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2 ”she helps the heroes destroy the Ego and finds mutual understanding with Gamora. Her role was again played by Karen Gillan .
• Nebula also appeared in the films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Final . Her role was again played by Karen Gillan . In the latter, he acts as a new member of the Avengers team, helping to finally defeat Thanos. And later enters the Guardians of the Galaxy and replaces the deceased Gamora.

• In the game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series , Nebula acts as an intermediate protagonist. Depending on the decisions of the player, she can either join the Sentinels after reconciling with Gamora, or move on in the story alone.
