Content
History
The Institute was established at Moscow State Pedagogical University in 2014 by combining the Biological, Chemical and Chemical faculties.
Faculty of Biology and Chemistry
The Faculty of Biology and Chemistry was founded in 1900, when the Department of Natural History was opened at the Moscow Higher Women's Courses . During this period, V. I. Vernadsky , M. A. Menzbir , N. K. Koltsov , A. F. Kots , S. S. Chetverikov and others worked at the faculty as professors who made a great contribution to the development of biology.
In 1929, three universities were created on the basis of the 2nd Moscow State University: the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute, the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology and the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (MGPI).
During the war, the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute continued to work, it was named after V.I. Lenin. In 1960, he joined the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. V.P. Potemkin . In 1990, the university was transformed into Moscow State Pedagogical University (MPGU).
At the Department of Zoology and Darwinism under the leadership of professors S. P. Naumov (1905-1982) and A. V. Mikheev (1907-1999), such scientific directions as ecology of birds and mammals, seasonal bird migrations were created and successfully developed; and soil zoology under the leadership of M. S. Gilyarov and N. M. Chernova [1] .
At the Department of Botany, under the guidance of professors A. A. Uranov , T. I. Serebryakova and I. G. Serebryakova , such scientific directions as ecological and population morphology of plants were formed.
The Department of Methodology for Teaching Biology, led by a teacher, organizer of the Biological Station for Youngsters (BYUN) B.V. Vsesvyatsky played an important role in the methodological preparation of students.
A large team of professors and teachers worked at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry under the guidance of Professor S. A. Balezin. The main topic of scientific research of the department was “metal corrosion”. Professors S. D. Beskov, N. G. Klyuchnikov, associate professors L. V. Babich, V. S. Solodkin and others worked here.
For a long time, since the times of the Ministry of Housing, the department of organic and biological chemistry was headed by S. Ya. Demyanovsky. For many years the department was headed by the honorary professor of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Yu. B. Filippovich, the founder of the scientific school “Insect Biochemistry”. Prof. A.N. Smolin, a methodologist, professor D.P. Erygin worked here.
The Department of Animal Anatomy and Physiology was headed by professors V. I. Sukharev, V. M. Kasyanov, N. A. Kabanov, M. M. Kurepina, professors I. G. Kovyrev, associate professors V. I. Nikolskaya, V. V. Sapozhnikov, K.A. Biryukova. Studies of the department were aimed at studying the functions of the visual and other analyzers, the processes of fatigue in schoolchildren.
The Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Chemistry and Independence were independent structures at the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute and the Moscow State Pedagogical University and were located in different regions of Moscow [2] .
