Brody Retallick ( born Brodie Retallick , born May 31, 1991 in Rangior ) is a New Zealand rugby player who plays for the Chefs club and the New Zealand national team as a second-line forward . The best rugby player of 2014 [1] .

Career
Brody Retallik was born in Rangior , later studied in Christchurch .
In 2010, he made his debut in the ITM Cup as part of the Hawks Bay. In 2011, as part of the youth team of New Zealand, he participated in the World Cup, which New Zealanders won.
In 2012, Retallik made his Super Rugby debut as part of the Chiefs . On June 9 of the same year, for the first time in his career, he entered the field as part of the New Zealand main team in a test match with the Irish . He took an active part in the games of the Rugby Championship 2012 and in just a year he played in 13 matches for the national team.
In 2014, together with Sam Whitelock , he composed the main pair of New Zealand second line forwards, and at the end of the year he was recognized as IRB Player of the Year .
Brody Retallik joined the New Zealand national team for the 2015 World Cup and played in all All Blacks games except for the group stage match with Namibia . According to the results of the world championship, Retallik became the best player in the number of intercepted corridors (6).
