Biography
Nikolai Leontyevich Klochkov was born into a peasant family in the village of Krasavka, Bogoroditsky district of the Tula province (currently the Volovsky district of the Tula region ). In 1939 he graduated from 7 classes of a school and factory school at the Kauchuk plant in Moscow . In 1941 he was evacuated to the Kirov district of the Sverdlovsk region .
In January 1943, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army by the Kirov District Military Commissariat of the Sverdlovsk Region. On the fronts of World War II from August 18, 1943.
The commander of the intelligence department, Corporal Klochkov, in December 1943, near the village of Pribor in the Bykhov district of the Mogilev region, participated in the raid of the special detachment to defeat the headquarters of the 267th Wehrmacht infantry division. Personally, he threw grenades at 2 houses, which housed the headquarters guards, and destroyed up to 15 enemy soldiers and officers. By order of the 17th Infantry Division on January 21, 1944, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
The assistant platoon commander, junior sergeant Klochkov, when breaking through the enemy’s defenses on June 25–26, 1944 south-west of Zhlobin near the village of Dubovaya Ryad, replaced the failed platoon commander. The first to raise a platoon to attack and his soldiers were the first to break into the trenches of the enemy. A platoon in battle destroyed 15 enemy soldiers, the platoon machine-gunners crushed one enemy machine-gun point, which interfered with the advance of the platoon. Klochkov personally destroyed 5 enemy soldiers in this battle. He was presented for awarding the Order of the Red Star , by order of the 48th Army he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
In September 1944, the company foreman Sergeant Klochkov in the battle to hold the bridgehead on the right bank of the Narev River north of the town of Pultusk near the village of Shiguvek , having lost contact with the company commander, took command of the company and continued to lead him, although he was wounded. The battlefield left after the outcome of the battle. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
In March 1947, Sergeant Klochkov was demobilized. He returned to his homeland. He worked on the collective farm as the foreman of the field crew.
Nikolai Leontyevich Klochkov died on July 25, 1979.
