Tavet Atlas (pseudonym; real name Esper Thompson, born May 17, 1963 in Tartu) is an Estonian poet and writer.

Recognition
Translations of the Taveta Atlas were presented at the “Music of Translation” competition in 2010 as well. One of them (“NATO Air Force Plaque / Belgrade”) was included in the competition compilation. Translated poems Boris Balyasny. [one]
In 2013, translations of the four poems of the Taveta Atlas took 5th, 6th, 14th and 75th places in the fifth competition “Music of Translation”. Translations into Russian were made by Nadezhda Kataeva-Valk. [2] Two of them (“My cemetery, my moonshine” and “Woman as a grand piano”) were included in the collection of the competition. [3]
In 2014, three translations of the Taveta Atlas poems took 14th, 55th and 75th places in the sixth competition “Music of Translation”. Translator - Nadezhda Kataeva-Valk. One of them ("Sad fluffy like") was included in the contest collection. [four]
In 2015, the novel "Horror Scaffold on the Roof of the Tartu Town Hall" was recognized as the best novel by an Estonian author in the annual competition "Stalker", held by the Estonian Science Fiction Union. [five]
Personal life
Tavet Atlas is married. He has three children.
