Biography
Denis Turechenkov was born on October 7, 1978 in Volgograd . He began to actively engage in rowing from early childhood, was trained under the guidance of such specialists as A. Napolov and Yu. Surkov. He was a member of the sports society of trade unions and Dynamo .
Since 1994 he was involved in the rowing team of Russia, in 1996 for the first time he became the champion of the country, having won in singles a thousand meters.
I achieved success at the adult international level in 2001, when I got into the main team of the Russian national team and visited the European Championship in Milan, from where I brought silver and gold dignity awards, won in the classification of four-seater kayaks at distances of 200 and 500 meters. Later he performed at the World Championships in Polish Poznan, where in four he won the silver medal at two hundred meters, the champion at five hundred meters and the bronze medalist at one thousand meters. For these outstanding achievements, he was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Master of Sports of Russia ”.
Subsequently, for several years he continued to take part in major competitions, for a total of thirteen times he became the champion of the country in various rowing disciplines. The last time showed any significant result in 2006 at the Cup of Russia in Krasnodar, when he won the races of male four-seater crews [1] .
He has higher education, graduated from the Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture .
