Rene Bondoux ( French René Bondoux ; May 26, 1905 - May 6, 2001 ) - French fencer, Olympic champion, medalist of the World Cup.

Biography
Born in 1905 in Bar-sur-Seine . In 1932 he became the champion of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles . In 1935, he won the silver medal of the International Fencing Championship (in 1937, the International Fencing Federation retroactively recognized this championship as the World Championship). In 1936 he won the silver medal of the Olympic Games in Berlin .
After the outbreak of World War II, as a reserve officer, he joined the army, fought in Belgium, and was captured near Dunkirk. In 1941 he was liberated, joined the Resistance, and through Spain he moved to North Africa. He joined the Forces of Free France, on August 15, 1944, as part of the 1st French Army, landed in Southern France, was adjutant De Latra De Tassigny . May 8, 1945 attended the signing ceremony of the surrender of Germany in Berlin.
