History

It was first mentioned in the scribe books of the Shelonsky Pyatina of 1498, as the village of Novoselye in the Kotor graveyard of Novgorod district [2] .

As the village of Novosel, it is indicated on the map of the St. Petersburg province of 1792, A. M. Wilbrecht [3] .

The village of Novoselye , consisting of 21 peasant households , is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [4] .

Housewarming - the village belongs to the titular adviser Mikhail Baralevsky, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 35 m. p. [5] (1838)

The village of Housewarming from 21 courtyards is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [6] .

Housewarming - the village of Mr. Meyer, on a country road, the number of yards - 24, the number of souls - 96 m. [7] (1856)

According to the map from the “Historical Atlas of the St. Petersburg Province” of 1863, the village was called Novoselya [9] .

In 1868-1869, temporarily liable peasants of the village bought their land allotments from N. T. Meyer and became the owners of the land [10] .

The compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described it like this:

Housewarming - a former owner's village at the Chernavka River, 33 yards, 200 residents; Orthodox church. (1885 year) [11]

In the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the 2nd camp of the Luga district of St. Petersburg province, at the beginning of the 20th century - to the Gorodets volost of the 5th zemsky district of the 4th camp.

According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Novoselye was part of the Novoselsky rural society [12] .

From 1917 to 1923, the village of Novoselye was part of the Poddubsky village council of the Gorodets volost of the Luga district.

Since 1923, as part of the Bolshe-Klobutitsky Village Council.

According to a topographic map of 1926, the village numbered 60 yards .

Since February 1927, as part of the Luga volost, since August 1927 - the Luga district [13] .

According to 1933, the village of Novoselye was part of the Klobutitsky village council of the Luga region [14] .

The village was liberated from Nazi occupation on February 15, 1944.

In 1958, the population of the village of Novoselye was 128 people [13] .

According to 1966, the village of Novoselye was part of the Klobutitsky village council [15] .

According to the data of 1973 and 1990, the village of Novoselye was part of the Serebryansky Village Council [16] [17] .

According to 1997 data, 44 people lived in the village of Novoselye, Serebryanskaya volost, in 2002 - 53 people (Russians - 94%) [18] [19] .

In 2007, 39 people lived in the village of Novoselye Serebryansky SP [20] .

Geography

The village is located in the southern part of the district on the highway 41K-145 ( Retyun - Sara-Log ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 2 km [20] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Serebryanka is 3 km [15] .

The Klobutitskaya River flows through the village.
