Boris Fedorovich Baranov ( June 8, 1923 - July 15, 1976 ) - Soviet chess player , master of sports of the USSR (1953). Judge of the All-Union category.

Member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR. He played in Moscow for the "Petrel". Author of many articles on various issues of chess.
