History
The club was founded in 1949 , as the rugby branch of the sports society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania Dynamo. Two years after the founding, the team managed to win their first title, becoming champions of Romania . The backbone of the team in those years was made by such players as Titi Jonescu , Paul Yordanescu , Cornel Aldia , Florian Gyondya and others [1] .
Until the beginning of the 90s of the XX century, the club achieved success only occasionally, since the other Bucharest team Steaua served as the hegemon of all Romanian rugby. Nevertheless, the Bulldogs were the only Romanian club to win the European Rugby Champions Cup : in 1967, the French Agen was defeated by the sum of two matches [2] .
The greatest number of titles was won by the club in the late 90s - early 2000s, after which there was again a recession in the results.
