Biography
Born in a family of nobles Nedyurev . Her father, Vasily, was the key keeper of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. When the girl was six years old, her mother Stefanida died and she was given to the education of her grandmother. After the death of her grandmother, twelve-year-old Juliania moves to her aunt's house.
At the age of 16 she was married to a Murom resident Yuri Osorin , who owned the village of Lazarevsky , became famous for her pious life, the support of the poor and prisoners. During the famine under Tsar Boris Godunov, she sold all her property to buy bread for the poor.
She died on January 2, 1604, was canonized after the discovery of her relics in 1614.
The heroine of one of the classic works of ancient Russian literature - "The Tale of Julian Lazarevskaya", written by her son - Callistratus (Druzhina) Osoryin .
