Career
Before starting a professional career at the highest level, Genius managed to play for various youth teams of Australia, starting with the school and ending with the youth team.
In February 2007, Genius made his debut with the Queensland Reds in a match with Hurricanes . A year later, he acted as the main scrum haw of the youth team at the World Championship among youth teams, but the Australians were left without medals, taking only fifth place.
In 2009, Will Genius made his debut in the Australian national team . In his first match against the New Zealand national team in the framework of the Three Nations Cup, he came on as a substitute for just 6 minutes, and for the first time in the game against South Africa in Brisbane he left for the main team.
In 2011, the Genius in the Queensland Reds won the Super Rugby Championship . At the same time, in the final game with the Crusaders , it was his attempt at the 68th minute that helped the Australian team win the final victory with a score of 18-13.
In the same year, Will debuted at the World Cup , where he acted as the main Scrum Hawa “Wallabis”. For the championship, Genius did not score points, but at the match with the US team he was the captain of his team. As a result of the tournament, Will became the bronze medalist of the World Cup.
At the 2015 World Cup , Genius again became the main “nine” team. He entered the field in the starting lineup in all games, except for the group stage match with Uruguay .
