Jan Dolgovich ( Polish. Jan Dołgowicz ; born , ) - Polish Greco-Roman wrestler, Olympic medalist, World and European Championship medalist, four-time (1977, 1978, 1979, 1982) champion of Poland, champion of the Federal Republic of Germany 1985 [1] [2] .

Biography
In 1977, he was third at the German Grand Prix, fourth at the World Championships and eleventh at the European Championships. In 1978, he became the silver medalist of the European Championship, and again at the World Championships he was fourth. In 1979, he was second again at the European Championships and third at the German Grand Prix; at the world championships ranked sixth. In 1980 he was second at the German Grand Prix.
At the Summer Olympics in 1980 in Moscow fought in the middleweight (up to 82 kilograms). The tournament rules remained the same, with the accrual of penalty points; penalty points were not accrued for a clear victory, 0.5 penalty points were awarded for a victory with a clear advantage, 1 point for points won for a victory, 3.5 points for a clear advantage for an opponent and 4 points for a clear loss. As before, the wrestler, who collected 6 penalty points, was eliminated from the tournament. The title was contested by 12 wrestlers.
Yan Dolgovich had two defeats in the preliminary bouts. In the first bout, he met his eternal rival, who constantly lost to Yon Drayka , but this time Dolgovich did not let Drayke do anything, as a result both were disqualified for being passive. Despite the defeat, he reached the final, but without a chance for a gold medal. In the meeting for the silver medal he put on the shoulders of the Bulgarian Pavel Pavlov .

In 1981, he was second at the European Championships and the German Grand Prix, and remained fifth at the World Championships. In 1982, he was third in the German Grand Prix and finally became one of the prize winners at the World Championships, winning a bronze medal.
In January 1983, he emigrated to the FRG , where he spoke for several more years, winning the title of the FRG champion in 1985. He then coached at many leading German clubs such as KSV Germania Aalen and ASV Bauknecht Schorndorf .
