The elections of the mayor of Kiev and the deputies of the Kiev city council of 2015 are regular elections of the mayor of Kiev and the Kiev city council , scheduled for October 25, 2015 within the framework of local elections .

Elections of the mayor are held in two rounds on the majority system of the absolute majority , elections of 120 deputies of the Kyiv City Council are held in multi-member electoral districts by the proportional system on party lists with a 5% barrier.

Timeline

The extraordinary elections of the Kiev mayor and deputies of the Kyiv City Council took place on May 25, 2014 .

Regular elections were called by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 14, 2015, within the framework of the 2015 national local elections.

October 1, 2015 started the election campaign for the election of the mayor and deputies of the Kyiv City Council. The term of office of those elected in elections is not defined and depends on the Constitutional reform, which has been held in Ukraine since 2015.

Candidates

On October 1, the Kyiv City Territorial Election Commission completed the registration of 29 candidates for participation in the elections of the mayor of Kiev [1] :

  1. Gennady Balashov - leader of the political party "5.10"
  2. Borislav Bereza - people's deputy of Ukraine from 213 districts of Kiev, "PARTY OF DECISION CITIZENS"
  3. Anastasia Belous - lawyer of Alenta Plus LLC, the party “REVIVAL OF UKRAINE”
  4. Lyubov Bogachenko - Director of Evaluation Premium, Party "Women of Ukraine"
  5. Volodymyr Bondarenko - Head of the Kyiv City State Administration in March-June 2014, Head of the Kyiv City Organization of the Batkivshchyna Party
  6. Viktor Shevchenko - Hacker, Internet Party of Ukraine
  7. Vasily Gatsko - head of the Democratic Alliance party
  8. Sergey Gusovskiy - deputy of the Kiev City Council, restaurateur, deputy director of FJRI-Ukraine LLC, Self Help party
  9. Nikolay Dulsky - head of the civil organization "Civil Control Nazhdak", self-promoted
  10. Sergey Dumchev - Head of the Supervisory Board of PJSC Commercial Bank Premium, Movement for Reforms Party
  11. Yuriy Yekhanurov - Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2005–2006, Professor at the Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko, the Revival Party
  12. Vitali Klitschko - the mayor of Kiev and the head of the Kyiv City State Administration since June 2014, the leader of the party, Petro Poroshenko’s “Solidarity” bloc
  13. Alexander Kondrashov - Professor of the Academy of Municipal Administration, "The Party of Local Self-Government"
  14. Gennady Korban - businessman, deputy. Head of the Board of the charitable organization "Defense Fund of the country", the party " Ukrainian Association of Patriots - UKROP "
  15. Vladimir Makeenko - Head of the Kyiv City State Administration in January-March 2014, the party " Our Land "
  16. Maxim Melnichuk - Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Agrarian Party of Ukraine
  17. Sergey Melnichuk - people's deputy of Ukraine (deputy group “People’s Will”), self-promoted (deprived of parliamentary immunity and under investigation at the time of the election)
  18. Oleksandr Mirny - MP of Ukraine, VIIth convocation, Deputy Director for General Issues of Agricultural Enterprise Agros-Vista LLC, VO Svoboda
  19. Roman Mikhailov is an economist at the Institute of International Relations of the Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko, the party "The Power of the People"
  20. Tatyana Montyan - lawyer, the party "SPILNA DІYA"
  21. Igor Mosiychuk is a people's deputy of Ukraine, Oleg Lyashko’s Radical Party (at the time of the election was deprived of parliamentary immunity and was under investigation in the SIZO). On October 5, 2015, Mosiychuk announced the withdrawal of his candidacy [2]
  22. Natalya Novak - people's deputy of Ukraine (Bloc of Petro Poroshenko), party Citizenship
  23. Oleksandr Omelchenko - deputy of the Kyiv city council, ex- Kyiv mayor , chairman of the Kyiv city state administration in 1996–2006, the Unity party
  24. Dmitry Pavlichenko - individual entrepreneur, Ukrainian Republican Party
  25. Oleksandr Puzanov - Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration in 2010–2014, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Private Joint Stock Company Insurance Company Ukrainian Insurance Group, Opposition Bloc
  26. Yevhen Rybchinsky - people's deputy of Ukraine, self-promoted
  27. Vladimir Ruban - Head of the Public Organization "Officers 'Corps", the party "Officers' Corps"
  28. Alexey Samokhin - lawyer, party "Auto-Maidan"
  29. Viktor Cherny - Director of Detective Security Company Svarog, LLC, Right of the People party.
