In the first final match on October 3 at Defensores del Chaco, Olimpia won a landslide victory 2-0 thanks to goals from strikers Raul Vicente Amarilla in the 25th minute and Adriano Samaniego in the 78th minute.

In the second leg of the match on October 10 at the Monumental Stadium, the rivals split the world with a score of 1: 1.
