Ashot Enokovich Vilasyan ( Armenian ոտ ասյան ; born May 28, 1946 , Tolors - July 7, 2006 , Yerevan ) - Soviet, Russian and Armenian weightlifting coach . Master of Sports of the USSR . Honored coach of the USSR (1984).

Biography
Ashot Vilasyan was born on May 28, 1946 in the village of Tolors, Sisian District, Armenian SSR. In 1949, together with his family, he moved to Yerevan, where at the age of 16 he started weightlifting under the guidance of Avetik Danielyan. In 1971 he graduated from the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture. From 1971 to 1993 he was engaged in coaching in sports societies "Spartak" and "Dynamo" . The most famous student of Vilasian was the world and Olympic champion Oxen Mirzoyan [1] , whom he coached throughout his sporting career (1977–1993).
In 1993–2003 he lived in St. Petersburg . Working at the Sports School named after V.F. Kraevsky and the St. Petersburg School of Olympic Reserve No. 2, he prepared the champion of the European and World Junior Championships Mamikon Mkrtchyan [2] , the European champions among young men Armen Tumanyan [3] and Tigran Mkhitaryan [4] .
In 2003 he returned to Yerevan . From February 2005 he was the senior coach of the Armenian youth weightlifting team.
He died on July 7, 2006. He was buried at the Tokhmah cemetery in Yerevan.
