Florin Huidu ( rum. Florin Huidu ; April 24, 1976 , Valenii de Munte ) - a Romanian canoeist rower , played for the Romanian team in the second half of the 1990s. Participant of two summer Olympic games, silver medalist of the European Championship, winner of many regattas of national and international importance.

Biography
Florin Huydou was born on April 24, 1976 in the city of Valenii de Munte of the Prahova County .
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he won the right to defend the honor of the country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta - in the standings of single canoes at a distance of 500 meters he managed to reach only the semi-finals, where he finished fifth.
Huidu achieved his first serious success at the adult international level in 1999, when he joined the main team of the Romanian national team and attended the European Championships in the Croatian Zagreb, where he brought the silver dignity, won in the four-seater crew program at five hundred meters along with rowers like Gheorghe Andriev , Florin Popescu and Mitike Prikop - only the Russian team was ahead of him in the decisive race.
Being one of the leaders of the rowing team of Romania, Huidu successfully qualified for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney - he started alone at five hundred and thousand meters, in both cases he stopped in the semifinals, showing the fourth and fifth results, respectively. Soon after the end of these competitions, he decided to end the career of a professional athlete, giving way to young Romanian rowers in the national team.
