Robert "Bob" Martinez ( born Robert December "Martinez ; born December 25, 1934, Tampa, Florida) - American Republican politician, governor of the state of Florida from 1987 to 1991.

He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa (1953) and a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1964). Martinez worked as a management consultant, taught economics at the University of Tampa and was executive director of the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association from 1966 to 1975. In 1974, Martinez unsuccessfully ran for Tampa's mayor. He was mayor of Tampa from 1979 to 1986, until 1983 was a member of the Democratic Party. Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration during the presidency of George W. Bush (1991-1993).
