Biography
Born September 20, 1939 in the city of San Estanislao, Paraguay. February 2, 1959 brought eternal monastic vows to the congregation of Redemptorists. June 21, 1964 was ordained a priest .
On June 27, 1982, Pope John Paul II appointed Eustakio Pastor Kukekho Verga as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Asuncion and titular bishop of Budua. On August 15, 1982, the bishop was ordained by Archbishop Asuncion Ismael Blas Rolon Silvero , accompanied by the titular Bishop of Utimmira Jorge Adolfo Carlos Livieros Banks and Bishop of Limeira Aloiso Ariovaldo Amaral. April 19, 1990 was appointed prelate of Alto Parana.
On May 5, 1992, he was appointed bishop of the Military Ordinary of Paraguay and titular bishop of Aufinium. On June 15, 2002, the Pope appointed him Archbishop of Asuncion.
From 2009 to 2011, he chaired the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Paraguay .
November 6, 2014 resigned.
