Kenneth Hood "Buddy" Mackay ( English Kenneth Hood "Buddy" MacKay, Jr .; born March 22, 1933 , Ocala, Florida ) - American politician, member of the Democratic Party , served as governor of the State of Florida for a short time with 12 December 1998 to January 5, 1999 . After the death of Governor Lawton Chiles , in whose office he served as vice-governor, became governor. After 1999, completely retired from political activities.
