Content
Biography
In 1991-1995 he studied at the secondary school number 19 of the city of Tver. He was baptized at age 11 [1] . In 1995 he entered the Tver Lyceum [2]
While studying at school, he carried the obedience of an altar boy and a subdeacon in the Resurrection Cathedral of Tver [2] .
In 2002 he graduated from the Tver Lyceum with a gold medal and entered the St. Petersburg Theological Seminary . During training, he carried obedience to an employee of the website of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy and a teacher of an optional English course. He regularly represented St. Petersburg Theological Schools at various conferences and seminars [2] .
In 2004-2007, he took part annually in the summer Orthodox youth camp in , Cyprus, as a translator and head of the delegation of Russian students [3] . In 2006, he participated in a seminar of the youth organization “ Syndesmos ” in Brussels, Belgium [2] .
In October 2006, in the name of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Evangelist, the rector of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, Archbishop Tikhvinsky Konstantin (Goryanov) was put on the reader [2] .
In March 2007, he was sent to the Orthodox department of the Theological Faculty of the University of Joensuu (Finland) to undergo an internship and write a thesis “ Eschatology in World Religions” [3] , while studying he carried obedience to the Dean of St. John the Theological Church at the Theological Seminary of the Finnish Orthodox Church [2 ] .
In June 2007, upon returning to St. Petersburg, he successfully defended his thesis for a seminary course on “Eschatology in World Religions” and on June 17 graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Seminary in the first category, was awarded the Prize named after Metropolitan of Leningrad and Novgorod Nikodim (Rotov) . By the decision of the teaching meeting, he was accepted into the number of students of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy without passing entrance exams [2] .
In September 2007, he was appointed intern in the communication service of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (DECR MP). In October of that year, he became the referent of the chairman of the DECR MP, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, Kirill (Gundyaev) [2] .
In September 2008, he was appointed teacher of the Smolensk Theological Seminary [2] .
On February 5, 2009, he was appointed personal secretary of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill [2] .
Monk and cleric
On March 5, 2009, in the house church of the Holy Righteous Philaret the Gracious, the Patriarchal chambers of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, Patriarch Kirill was tonsured a monk with the name Anthony in honor of the venerable martyr Anthony of Valaam . This was the first monastic tonsure that Patriarch Kirill performed after being elected to the throne [4] .
On March 8, 2009, in the Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Patriarch Cyril was ordained hierodeacon [5] .
On April 1, 2009, by the decree of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill was appointed head of the then created personal secretariat of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia [6] .

On May 30, 2011, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was relieved of his post as clergyman of the Nicholas Church in Rome and appointed rector of the stavropegic church in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine in Rome [10] .
On June 28, 2011, by decree of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill was appointed secretary of the administration of the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy [2] .
On June 22, 2012, the Academic Council of the Paris Orthodox Seminary invited Hieromonk Anthony (Sevryuk) to teach at the seminary [11] .
On July 18, 2013, in connection with the post held for the Divine Liturgy on the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite [12] .
On October 23, 2014, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was included in the Inter-Council Presence of the Russian Orthodox Church . He became a member of the commission on church governance and the mechanisms for the implementation of collegiality in the Church and the commission on issues related to attitude to the heterodox and other religions [13] .
On October 7, 2015, Patriarch Kirill in the house church of St. Righteous Philaret the Gracious of the Patriarchal chambers of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra was tonsured in the mantle with the name Anthony in honor of St. Anthony Rimlyanin , the Novgorod miracle worker [2] .

On October 22, 2015, he was elected Bishop of Bogorodsky , Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, and was also appointed Head of the Directorate for Foreign Institutions of the Moscow Patriarchate and Head of Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy [14] .
October 23, 2015 in the Vvedensky Cathedral of Optina Desert named as Bishop of Bogorodsky [15] . October 26 in the cathedral church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God of the Novodevichy Convent in Moscow is ordained bishop of Bogorodsky. The consecration was performed by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill , Metropolitan of Krutitsky and Kolomensky Yuvenaly (Poyarkov) , Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk (Alfeyev) , Metropolitan of Tver and Kashinsky Victor (Oleinik) , Metropolitan of Istra Irensky (Epifanov) , Metropolitan of Saint Petersburg ) , Archbishop of Peterhof Ambrose (Ermakov) , Archbishop of Pyatigorsk and Cherkess Feofilakt (Kuryanov) , Bishop Vidnovsky Tikhon (Nedosekin) , Bishop Serpukhovskaya Roman (Gavrilov) , Bishop of Solnechnogorsk Sergius (Chashopala) Shikhinsky Nikolai (Pogrebnyak) , Bishop of Zaraisk Constantine (Ostrovsky) [16] .
On October 28, 2015, he was appointed rector of the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist on Presnya , Moscow [17] .
December 24, 2015 by the decision of the Holy Synod was included in the Supreme Church Council [18] .
April 16, 2016 by the decision of the Holy Synod was included in the delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church to participate in the Pan-Orthodox Council [19]
On February 1, 2017, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was included in the composition of the then-created organizing committee for the implementation of the program of general church events for the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the era of persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church [20] .
On July 29, 2017, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was relieved of his post as manager of the Italian parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate and rector of the stavropegial church of St. Catherine the Great Martyr in Rome [21] .
On September 11, 2017, by order of Patriarch Kirill, he was appointed temporary administrator of the Diocese of Berlin [22] .
On December 28, 2017, he was appointed manager of the Vienna-Austrian and Budapest-Hungarian dioceses with the title “Vienna and Budapest” with the release from the administration of the Berlin-German diocese and was also appointed interim manager of parishes in Italy [23] .
February 1, 2018 in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill was elevated to the rank of archbishop [24] .
On May 30, 2019, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was appointed Archbishop of Korsun and Western Europe , the Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe and interim manager of the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in Italy with the dismissal of the Vienna and Budapest Dioceses and retaining the post of head of the Moscow Patriarchate Directorate for Foreign Institutions [25] .
May 31, 2019 in the Resurrection Cathedral of the Novodevichy Convent of St. Petersburg, Patriarch Kirill was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan [26] .
