Species Latin name indicates the place of growth of the species - Betik . The plant is found in Algeria, Morocco, Gibraltar, Spain and Portugal [2] [3] .
This is a poisonous perennial climbing plant, the stems of which are bare and reach a length of 5 m. It is an evergreen. The flowers are from 2 to 5 centimeters long, and their color varies from brown-violet to red. The plant blooms from May to June. The leaves are arranged alternately, green, heart-shaped, up to 10 cm long [2] .
