The Vaganova River flows into the lake. The shores are marshy. On the southern shore of the lake are the villages of the Islands and the Voluntary . To the south are the lakes Grachinoe, Salty and Big Donki , which, contrary to the name, has a much smaller area [4] .
Lake Small Donkey is used for fishing [5] .

According to the state water registry of Russia, it belongs to the Irtysh Basin District , the water management site is Tobol from the confluence of the Uy River to the city of Kurgan, and the river sub basin of the river Tobol. River basin - Irtysh [6] .
