Fedor Mikhailovich Istomin ( May 31, 1856 , Arkhangelsk - 1919) - Russian ethnographer .
He graduated from the historical and philological faculty of St. Petersburg University . Since 1883, secretary of the ethnographic department of the Geographical Society . He participated in ethnographic expeditions to the Arkhangelsk and Olonets provinces ( 1884 , together with G. O. Dyutsh ), to the Pechora region ( 1889 and 1890 ), in 1886 and 1893 - to an expedition sent to the Emperor to collect folk songs in the northern provinces.
