The integuments carry pressed scales (small, whitish and brown), which have a sub-rounded shape and overlap behind; the head is slightly ventral; hind tarsus shorter than hind tibia; on all paws there are no bristle pads, but there are thick spines. Associated with plants such as Xanthocephalum sp. ( Asteraceae ), Larrea tridentata ( Zygophyllaceae ), Gutierrezia ( Asteraceae ). Larvae are thought to feed on plant roots.
