The match for the title of world champion in international drafts among men in 2015 was held from October 25 to October 31 in Izmir ( Turkey ).
The current world champion Alexander Georgiev ( Russia ) and challenger Jean Mark Ndzhofang ( Cameroon ) played for the right to possess the world crown. Alexander Georgiev won the match with a score of 7-7-6-6 against 7-5-4-12, becoming the world champion for the eighth time.
Rules
The match was held for seven gaming days, every day until the victory of one of the rivals. The first duel with classical time control, if it ends in a draw, then rapid is played, when a draw is played, a blitz is played, and then a tie-break according to the Lehman-Georgiev system (5 min + 2 seconds per move for all games until victory).
The winner of the match was determined by the sum of points scored in the classical time control. In case of equality, according to the sum of points scored in rapid speed, in case of equality of points in rapid speed, according to the sum of points scored in rapid blitz. If in all these cases there is equality, then according to the results of the tie-break according to the Lehman-Georgiev system.
