Geography
The village is located in the forest-steppe within the Baraba Lowland , related to the West Siberian Plain, on the left bank of the Om River. In the eastern part of the village there is a Siberian lake - the old river Om [2] . Common chernozems are common linguistic [3] . The height of the center of the village is 102 meters above sea level [4] .
By road, the village is located 17 km from the district center of the village of Kormilovka and 66 km from the regional center of Omsk [5] . The nearest railway station is located in the village of Kormilovka .
The climate is temperate continental (according to the classification of Köppen-Geiger climates - type Dfb ). History
It was founded in 1864–66 by settlers - Komi-Zyryans , on the former Taras farm, by the name of which the village Tarasino later became known. Residents converted to Christianity in 1890 after an epidemic of cholera . In 1892, during land surveying and land surveying and registration of all unauthorized settlements, settlements, farms and villages, the name Tarasino was replaced at the request of residents with Georgievka , in honor of St. George the Victorious, whose name was named the only Orthodox in the entire northern zone of the territory of the Kormilovsky district temple [7] .
