The gold medal had a diameter of 52 mm., 1,600 were minted. . The silver medal was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers. A total of 10,000 silver medals were minted. [2]
The front side depicts Peter I in armor, with a laurel wreath on his head. The medal had the inscriptions: “SEE WHAT YOU ARE LEFT FOR” , “STOPPED ON GENERAL, 28, 1725”, “PETER THE GREAT IMPERATOR I SAMOZODERZHE ALLOSISKI” and “BORN ON MAY 30, 1672.” On the back of the coin is depicted Peter I ascending into the clouds.
