Sports Biography

At major international tournaments Khrustanovich began performing in 2006. At the youth level, Amer took part in two world championships and three European championships, but he never managed to even get into them in the top ten. In April 2012, the Austrian wrestler became the second at the European Olympic qualification tournament and won a ticket to the Summer Olympic Games . At the Games in London, Khrustanovich competed in the under 84 kg category . The Austrian wrestler confidently went through the first round of the competition, but in the quarterfinals he lost to the Pole Damian Yanikovsky and dropped out of the further struggle for medals.

In 2014, Amer became the bronze medalist of the European championship in the Finnish city of Vantaa , defeating Russian Alexei Mishin in the 2004 Olympic champion’s third place. In 2015, Amer took part in the first European Games in Baku . In the category of up to 85 kg, the Austrian wrestler lost in the first fight, losing to the future champion of the Games Russian Davit Chakvetadze . In the consolation tournament for third place, Amer lost to the German Ramzin Atsitsziru and dropped out of the further struggle for medals.
