Palminka ( Belor. Palminka ) is an agro - town in the Gorodok district of the Vitebsk region of Belarus , the center of the Palma village council . The population of 1396 people (2009) [1] .

Content
Geography
The village is located 10 km southeast of the district center, the town of Gorodok and 28 km north of Vitebsk , the regional center. On the eastern outskirts of the agro-town flows the river Kabishchanka , the basin of the Western Dvina . 2 km southwest of Palminka passes the M8 highway on the Vitebsk -Gorodok section, the village is connected to the highway by a local road. The nearest railway station in Gorodok (line Vitebsk - Nevel ).
History
In the late XIX - early XX centuries there was a noble estate Palminka as part of the Losvid volost of the Vitebsk county of Vitebsk province . After 1917, the estate was nationalized. In March 1924, an agricultural society was created. Since August 20, 1924 Palminka is the center of the village council.
During the Great Patriotic War in January 1943, the village was burned down by Nazi invaders. After the war, restored. In 1999, Palminka was the center of the Gorodoksky state farm [2] .
The former manor house has been preserved, now adapted for a rural store [3]
