“For the Battle of Lesnaya” - a medal awarded to participants in the battle of Lesnaya . Medals were made at the Kadashevsky Mint in Moscow . There were 4618 silver medals (diameter 28 mm) for distribution to the lower ranks for wearing on the St. Andrew's ribbon . For officers, they issued 6 types of gold medals in denominations of 13, 6, 5, 3, 2 and 1 chervonets, depending on the rank and merit (a total of 1140 gold medals). [1] In the Preobrazhensky regiment , 39 non-commissioned officers , 88 sergeants , captain army and corporals were awarded . [2] Frenchman Solomon Gwen and Saxon Gottfried Haupt worked on medals.

Description
On the front side of the coin is depicted Peter I with the inscription: “PETR. FIRST. UTI. ISAMOD. ALL-RUSSIA. " . On the reverse side of the coin is depicted Peter I on a rearing horse against the backdrop of the battle, and a ribbon with the inscription: “Worthy - Worthy” . On the edges of the medal there are inscriptions: “FOR LEUVENG: ”, “BATTLE . ” Below is the date: " 1708 ". [2]
