Hutako or Hushako ( Kabard. -Cherk. Huschokjue ) - a mountain in the foothills of the Central Caucasus . Located at the administrative border between Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia .

Geography
Mount Hutako is located in the eastern part of the Tersky district , on the spurs of the Tersky ridge . The height of the mountain is 433 meters above sea level.
The northeastern slope of the mountain is the extreme eastern point of Kabardino-Balkaria .
The nearest settlement is the village of Nizhny Kurp , located 10 km southwest of the top of the mountain.
History
During the Great Patriotic War , in September 1942, fierce military clashes took place in the area of the mountain between the Soviet and German armies, for capturing this strategically important mountain during the battle of Malgobek .
In 1944, during the liquidation of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , a part of the Kurpsky district of the KBASSR lying east of Mount Khushako was transferred to the North Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic [1] . And on the eastern slope of the mountain, a new administrative border was drawn between Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia.
