Geography
The village is located on the Meza River [3] [4] .
History
Semilovo belonged to the steward of Prince S. P. Boryatinsky, the brother of Galichsky governor I. P. Boryatinsky [5] .
According to the Lists of Populated Places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 1st camp of the Kostroma district of the Kostroma province . It consisted of 15 yards , there were 40 men and 56 women [3] . [TO. one]
According to the 1897 census , 186 people lived in the village of Semilovo (89 men and 97 women). [4] .
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village of Semilovo belonged to the Shishkin Volost of the Kostroma District of the Kostroma Province . According to the volost administration in 1907, there were 33 peasant yards and 154 inhabitants. There was a school in the village. The main occupations of the villagers, in addition to farming, were factory fishery and work as coal miners. [four]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Grudkinsky rural settlement of Sudislavsky district [6] [7] .
Famous People
Famous Russian sailors Alexander and Grigory Butakov [8] were buried in the cemetery of the Semilovo Pogost.

- ↑ According to the Lists of Settlements of the Russian Empire in 1872, the Semilovo (Troitsa-Semilovo) graveyard was also located nearby, in which 5 men and 6 women lived in 5 yards, there were two Orthodox churches, and fairs were held twice a year.
