N. S. Karunya ( born NC Karunya , Telugu ఎన్. సి. కారుణ్య ; born March 1, 1986 ) is an Indian singer. Finalist of the Indian Idol 2 music project. 2011 Filmfare Awards South Laureate for Best Male Voice-over.

Biography

Born in Hyderabad in the family of N. S. Madhu and his wife Janaki [1] . There is a younger sister, Divena. He studied singing from the age of three [2] .

At the age of 19, studying in the third year of college, took part in the second season of the television musical project [1] [3] . Reached the finals and was a favorite of the jury [3] [4] . However, according to the results of the vote, the audience lost the victory to [5] .

During the project, he was noticed by representatives of the film industry [3] and after his graduation left school to join the show business [6] . In his first year, he recorded vocals for nearly 60 films [7] . The songs “Orugalluke pilla ...” and “Enduko Pichi Pichiga” from Telugu films and were especially popular. The first of them brought him the Ugadi Puraskar Award for Best Voice-Over Voice [7] . In addition to Telugu, Karunya also performed songs for films in Hindi , Kannada , Rajasthani and Tamil [2] . In Bollywood, he sang “Aane char aane” for “ Bro Moon 2 ” and “Sabse Alag” for Alag . For the last of them, he was nominated for Bollywood music awards as the best novice performer [2] . In 2007, he released his first music album Karunya [8] . In 2011, together with was awarded the Filmfare Award (Telugu) for best male voice-over vocals for the song “Sada Siva” from the Khaleja movie [9] .
