From 1920 to 1924 - pilot of the French Air Force . After retiring, he is hired as a pilot to Pierre-Georges Latecoer at the airmail company (future Aéropostale ), where he takes part in organizing air traffic between Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro (1928) and flights through the Andes (1929) . May 12, 1930 makes a non-stop flight across the South Atlantic from east to west, May 15 of the same year carries out a flight in the opposite direction. December 7, 1936, piloting the Southern Cross seaplane , disappears without a trace over the sea in the vicinity of Dakar [1] .
